Janie Delgado

College to Attend: The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
Janie received certification through Professinoal and Workforce Education in Career Skills and Employment Skills and as a Food Handler. She was all “A” Honor Roll for three Pre-AP subjects. She was also a member of the Interact Club for two years and volunteered in faith-based activities in her church youth group, FCA and Young Life.
Janie was a member of the girls’ cross-country team for four years, track and field team for three years, and girls’ basketball team for two years. She was a regional qualifier in cross-country for three years and was named first-team all-district as a junior. She was also an area qualifier in track and field for two years.
Janie plans to attend The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and major in Business. She hopes to become an accountant.
She is the daughter of Maria Arreazola Castillo.
